Hello,
I'm writing this message assuming that this goes directly to Kevin Jones. My name is Justine Inniss, I met you 3 or 4 years ago at the New Jersey Jazzfest when you played with Winard Harper. I don't know if you remember, but I was part of the Academies@Englewood Jazz Band, the first high school Jazz Band to ever be invited to the festival. Both my twin brother and I played the drums and you gave us your phone number and told us that if we ever needed anything to contact you; however, we lost this contact information, and I came across your website. You even told us that you lived on Englewood Avenue, right behind my street, Howland Avenue.
I have come a long way, i believe, as a drummer, and I attend The College of New Jersey, where I am studying music education. I am taking a class called History of Jazz and I have to do research on any topic of my choosing. I decided to base my research on Afro-cuban Jazz. I could do a phone or online interview with you on the topic and the advancement and differences of the early afro-cuban style and the modern forms.
